When a home is built or remodeled, the laundry room is often an afterthought. Many are stuffed into an awkward “leftover” area or even worse, tucked in a corner of the garage. These spaces are inconvenient and make washing and folding clothes a real drudgery. Because we all spend a good amount of time in the laundry room, shouldn’t we pay a bit more attention to it? As with other rooms in the house, careful planning can create a pleasant, multi-functional space that encourages organization and makes doing chores almost fun.
