Many older homes were built with the thinking that kitchens (and cooks!) should be tucked away, unseen. Fortunately, that notion has gone by the wayside and homeowners are now ‘opening up’ their homes to expand their lifestyle options.
These homeowners wanted to remove the visual barrier between their kitchen and living areas. Our challenge was to eliminate the wall while retaining essential load bearing support. The C&R team created a design incorporating beams and columns with style as well as purpose. This re-imagined kitchen now looks like it was always meant to be this way.
