Step Inside: Our 2025 Tour Home
This stunning Salem home was proudly featured on the 2025 Tour of Remodeled Homes and we’re excited to share its transformation with you. If you didn’t get the chance to see the home on the tour, this is your opportunity to step inside The Bush Park Whole Home Remodel. What was once a closed-off layout now feels open and connected, with every corner of this 1962 historic home thoughtfully reimagined.
Nestled on a double lot beside Bush Park, this mid-century home received a remodel that blends modern updates with its original charm. The design feels both fresh and timeless, as each improvement honors the home’s roots while enhancing comfort and livability for today.
The Kitchen: Open, Inviting, and Functional
Our first stop on this “online tour” is the kitchen—a space fully transformed with custom cabinetry, elegant granite countertops, and a glass tile backsplash. Previously a narrow galley, it now welcomes family and friends with bright light and sweeping views of the park. In this new layout, the kitchen balances functionality and beauty, turning an outdated space into a place that encourages connection and creativity.
We removed the existing cabinetry, countertops, plumbing fixtures, appliances, flooring, and wallpaper throughout the kitchen. The homeowners wanted to create a larger and more open feeling space, so we removed the old soffits around the kitchen perimeter and took out a section of wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room. Gone are the days of old fluorescent ceiling lighting and the update to new recessed lighting made a huge difference.

Hardwood Flooring Throughout
The main living areas now feature classic hardwood flooring, replacing dated carpeting and tying the spaces together with a cohesive, warm aesthetic. Existing bedroom hardwoods were carefully refinished to restore their original beauty, seamlessly blending old and new.

A Serene Primary Bathroom
The remodel extends into the primary bathroom, now a calming, retreat-like space. The tub area was removed and transformed into a spacious walk-in shower with large format tiles, custom bench, recessed shampoo niches and new glass doors. Old carpet was replaced with new Marmoleum flooring throughout the space. We also upgraded the vanity with new cabinetry, granite countertops, and relocated the plumbing to accommodate two vessel sinks and wall-mounted faucets. Every fixture and finish was chosen to reflect both luxury and comfort.

Finishing Touches with Personality
Every finishing detail was carefully considered. The client-selected lighting fixtures introduced soft lines and a touch of whimsy, perfectly complementing the home’s mid-century character. The result is a home that feels cohesive, inviting, and uniquely personal. A beautiful example of what happens when vision and craftsmanship come together.
